Woke up early to grab some shots of Higashi-chaya District, but someone in a kimono and umbrella beat me to it! She was right in the middle of the street having her own little photoshoot.
I noticed that almost every shop and home here—I’m not sure if it’s like this in all of Japan—has a bike parked out front.
This is the first photo I took after leaving the hotel. The street in Takayama is so quiet.
